Terms of Use
Effective date: October 1, 2026
Last updated: October 1, 2026
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Tinkeris and the tools available through tinkeris.com. By using Tinkeris, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. About Tinkeris
Tinkeris provides free browser-based tools designed to help with common calculations, conversions, text operations, development tasks, files, PDFs, images, study tasks, dates, times, and related utilities. Many tools operate directly in the user's browser. Many current Tinkeris tools are available without charge. Tinkeris does not currently require accounts or sign-in for ordinary tool use. If account features are introduced later, additional terms may apply.
3. Permitted use
You may use Tinkeris for lawful personal, educational, professional, and business purposes, such as performing calculations, converting values, formatting text or code, working with supported files, processing PDFs, and editing supported images.
4. User responsibilities
You are responsible for the content and files you choose to process with Tinkeris and for ensuring that you have the right to use them. Even when processing occurs locally on your device, you remain responsible for the files, data, and materials you choose to process.
5. Prohibited use
You must not use Tinkeris for unlawful activity, attempt to disrupt or overload the service, attempt unauthorized access to systems, introduce malware or malicious code, use automated methods to materially impair service availability, circumvent technical safeguards or resource limits, or misrepresent Tinkeris as your own service.
6. Tool results and accuracy
Tool results are generated based on the inputs and settings supplied by the user. Users should verify outputs before relying on them. We aim to provide accurate calculations, but results may depend on the inputs, assumptions, rounding rules, browser behavior, and the specific methodology described for each tool. Review the tool's methodology and assumptions before relying on a result.
7. Calculators and informational tools
Tinkeris tools and content are general informational utilities and are not substitutes for qualified medical, legal, financial, tax, accounting, engineering, or other professional advice where professional judgment is required.
Financial Tools: Financial calculators and related outputs are informational tools. They are not financial, investment, tax, accounting, or professional advice.
Health-Related Tools: Health-related calculator results are general informational estimates and are not medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice.
Educational Tools: Educational and student tools are intended to assist with learning, checking work, and performing calculations. You remain responsible for understanding your institution's rules, submitting your own work where required, and checking results.
Developer Tools: Developer-tool output should be reviewed before being used in production systems, security-sensitive environments, or automated workflows.
Emergency Use: Tinkeris is not intended for emergency, safety-critical, life-critical, or mission-critical decision making.
8. Files, PDFs and images
Tinkeris tools may generate modified copies of files, PDFs, and images. Always keep appropriate backups of important files before performing file, PDF, or image transformations. Tinkeris does not recommend using the generated output as your only copy of important data until you have verified it.
PDF Limitations: PDF files can contain complex features such as encryption, forms, embedded fonts, signatures, annotations, or unusual structures. Some Tinkeris PDF tools may not support every PDF feature. Modifying a digitally signed PDF may invalidate its signature.
Image Limitations: Image processing may involve re-encoding. This can result in quality changes, metadata removal, color-profile changes, or loss of transparency when converting to formats like JPEG.
File Conversions: Changing a filename extension is not necessarily the same as converting the underlying file format.
9. Browser and processing limitations
Some tools enforce limits on file size, image dimensions, page count, processing size, batch size, output count, or other resources. These exist to protect browser stability and prevent excessive resource use. Tool behavior may vary depending on browser, device, available memory, supported web APIs, fonts, encoders, and operating system.
10. Intellectual property
The Tinkeris name, logo, duck mascot, website design, original site content, and source materials not otherwise licensed are protected assets owned by the Tinkeris operator. Tinkeris and associated branding may be trademarks or brand assets of the Tinkeris operator. Some components of the service may use open-source software governed by their respective licences.
11. User content
You retain whatever rights you have in the files, text, images, documents, and other content you choose to process. We do not claim ownership of your user files, text, images, PDFs, or tool inputs.
You are responsible for having the rights or permission needed to process materials. Do not use Tinkeris to process content in a manner that violates copyright, trademark, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights.
12. Third-party services and links
Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms and policies.
13. Availability and changes
Tinkeris may change, suspend, remove, rename, improve, limit, or add tools or features. We do not guarantee continuous availability, permanent preservation of a specific tool, or zero downtime.
No third-party advertising is currently active. Tinkeris may introduce advertising or sponsored content in the future. Additional terms or disclosures may apply.
14. Disclaimers
Tinkeris is provided on an "as available" basis. We work to keep the tools useful and accurate, but we do not guarantee that every tool, result, output, or feature will always be error-free, available, or suitable for every purpose.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Tinkeris and its operators will not be responsible for losses arising solely from reliance on unverified tool outputs, loss of files caused by user actions, or use of the service in a manner inconsistent with these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.
16. Restrictions / abuse
Tinkeris may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, infrastructure, or comply with law. This includes restricting abusive automated traffic, attempted attacks, or resource abuse. Reasonable automated access by search engines is permitted, provided it does not materially disrupt or overload Tinkeris.
17. Privacy
Your privacy and our data handling practices are governed by our Privacy Policy.
18. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated when Tinkeris changes. Users continuing to use the website after an updated Terms version becomes effective may be subject to the updated version, subject to applicable law.
