Notes
- Pixel Resampling: Adjusting the width and height utilizes your browser's native high-quality canvas resampling algorithms.
- Aspect Ratio: Locking the aspect ratio ensures your image does not become stretched or distorted when changing dimensions.
- Upscaling Limitation: Upscaling increases pixel dimensions through interpolation, but it does not create new source detail or enhance the underlying image clarity.
- Format Behavior: Outputs are maintained in standard browser formats. Transparent PNGs will retain their alpha channel, while JPEGs will composite transparency against a solid white background.
- Metadata: Re-encoding typically removes metadata handled outside the pixel raster (e.g., EXIF profiles).
- Local Processing: The original local image is not modified, and processing happens securely on your device.
- Pixel Limits: The maximum permitted size is dynamically bounded to prevent browser memory exhaustion.
